Nike and Apple teamed up to create this wicked combination. Check out the flash demo. The future is arriving. Computing machinery continues to infiltrate our lives — which is likely a good thing.

  4. Wearable computing! This could be a neat item to pair up with the Burton Jacket with the Build in DigiCam . Now if I could only find some Bluetooth pants…

  6. There were 2 posters displayed dealing with almost this precise topic at the last CHI (www.chi2006.org) conference. I was surprised at the time that 2 groups independently came up with the similar idea. Then this was followed shortly by the Apple announcement. I really wonder how this happens. Is there some common source of inspiration that these people share? Or maybe iPod culture has just developed enough that people are starting to think seriously about these things?

I still think that Apple’s top iPod priority should be a car dash-mount iPod player. You just pop in your iPod like a tape, and then use the controls on the dash. There are car kits already, but they aren’t nearly elegant enough, and take too much effort for the user.
