Qumana: Windows on a Mac?
I currently use MarsEdit to write blogs. I would likely write more if it was a better tool, but lots of things are much harder than I think they should be. (like dragging and dropping links and images).
I was just reading a post about Qumana and the promise of dragging and dropping images and links got me all excited. I went to the home page to see this graphic
Happy woman! Nice, cool looking pad! … and check that, she is using a PowerBook! Cool. I can use Qumana with a Mac! … well, that is if I can get the following system requirements listed to work on my PowerBook:
The Qumana application has the following system requirements:
Operating System: Windows(R) XP, Windows(R) 2000, Windows(R) 98 Processor: Intel Pentium or compatible Memory: Minimum 128Mb Additional space is needed to store any content you collect. Internet: An Internet connection is needed for Qumana.
Well, the Intel processor is coming at least. But then my blogging tool (WordPress) is not supported anyways. Boo hoo.

Good points. We will have a mac version in not too long. And we support WordPress - I have 3 WordPress blogs myself!
But I agree our image/copy need work. We actually have a new design being produced as of today and my fingers were just rewriting copy as you posted this. Funny timing.

Dick,
We’re working on a Mac version and we fully support WordPress! Let me know if you’d like to be in the beta test for the Macs.

Maybe ecto is worth a try for you. I am using it happily with 2 blogs. http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/

Let me second the hint to ecto .
It supports drag&drop of images, links, tagging and much much more. And it gets better all the time. Wordpress-support is a no-brainer.
And it looks GOOD.
(disclaimer: besides using ecto, I’m in no way affiliated.)

Thanks for the feedback. I installed Ecto. I like the drag and drop. Too bad it does not always work (dragging a graphic from a website does the wrong thing)

I see the nice picture is gone. Too bad. Looking forward to test driving the Mac version.
