Quick Add in Google Calendar

Filed under: Machinery, Web 2.0 — Dick Hardt @ 10:17 pm

I’ve been using Google Calendar for a while and noticed a help page on keyboard shortcuts which led me to the Quick Add function. You type ‘q’ and a quick window pops up. You type in plain english what you want scheduled and it figures it all out. Seems really natural, but as a developer, wow, that is hard. eg. "Joe Doe tomorrow at 3 pm" creates a new entry called "joe doe" tomorrow scheduled from 3-4PM. Pretty cool!
