Vancouver’s mayor, Sam Sullivan accepted the flag yesterday at the closing ceremonies in Turin. He waved the Olympic flag in his special chair by spinning it around. Sam had a skiing accident when he was 19 which left him a quadriplegic. I think Sam is an inspirational example of someone overcoming obstacles and living their dreams. Sam accurately portrayed Canada as a free thinking, non-conforming, progressive nation. Go Canada!
